Linda - Well Senora is amazing. First of all the song is beautifully written and sung of course. I like the video, it's emotional and the imagery is different. Once again you prove so versatile. Please keep up the great work. I must say love your vision.

So, I'm fairly positive we all agree - we love your hair. Could you post a clearer image of your new hair, please? I'm overdue for a hair cut, and I think the way you have it may be becoming on me as well. Thanks!

From Brantley...

""Hey Linda... in case you havn't heard Tila just dropped the EGP, but we aren't taking it to bad we are actually relieved that she's gone so now we can actually focus on charity missions, but there is still one matter I want to discuss with you. Will you and Audrey join us to fight for the future or just brush it off like the world is perfect ? We are noe building an EGP website without Tila Tequila what so ever. I know you guys are friends, but I'm not really digging her self centered ways anymore so the question stands are you still up for the challenge ?""

LOL! Dont worry Brantley she'll drop it like everything else..you know, "retirement".

ROFL!!

Hey Linda.
I manage a fotolog about you... I upload, photos of you...
There are many fotologs of different subjects, there are soooooooooo many like 50 or more form Audrey, ... and people like that.
I'm the first one in making one of you...
And more people get to know you through there... most of the users are latin people, so I think is good for your career in a small level :)
But I see so many gorgeous pictures here of you, but I can't upload them to the fotolog cause they're very small...
can you tell me a way to see them bigger? or could you please upload them in the normal size :(
I hope it doesn't bother you... love you...
I leave her the fotolog link, if you wanna look around: http://www.fotolo g.com/lindastrawb erry

i just read 'i'm retiring'...wow.. .we all have gifts, but some can grab them and touch others in ways beyond our thoughts. your voice and words grabbed me a year ago and helped me to shake myself clean of the self-imposed expectations of others. you did that without knowing that you did that, but you did and there is a place in me where you will forever be.

hi there

I know this is quite in advance, but I was wondering if you were going to have any shows in Cali during about the third week in January? The band trip for my university is going out there then and I'm hoping I could finally see you live. Unless you want to make a trip out to the Midwest (Milwaukee or Chicago) for a show sometime, because that would be amazing.

You are really talented and seem pretty fun & interesting. (Just thought you should know).

piercing the creme brulee of pop culture..

we broke out of jail....
we broke out of jail....

last night i went to dinner with kristin, justin, billy, laura (jt leroy) and some other people and i felt right at home with them. we are all weirdos...but creative wierdos.
billy of course has been close to me for a while. and ive watched first hand as he has gone through some really important and difficult changes. so my view on the world has been formed through watching my friends succeed and fail on large scales and from that ive formed my opinions on what i think really matters. i have a few friends who are legitimately famous. and by that i dont mean "internet famous" which is a hard thing to gauge.. but friends who are known worldwide. and my opinion is that fame is an illusion so you might as well spend your time creating what you want to leave behind you. there's no point chasing something that is fleeting. the goal has to be something more than that. laura went on a brilliant rant last night and we just sat there taking it in. everyone in the world has a different opinion on her and her work. but to sit and listen to her talk is like reading a good book. we got into a talk about the culture we are in and it was exactly what i needed to hear. when i met her savannah was still pretending to be jt leroy and all the celebrities wanted to be savannah's friend because laura gave her character a voice. i dont call it fraud. i call it survival. but that's another topic for another day.. basically one point she made was that some of us might have 100,000 people paying attention at one time but if we arent saying anything of value then it means absolutely nothing. someone might have a youtube video that gets a million views but if there's nothing more than that then the collective is going to turn away and forget. people forget even our biggest celebrities. so how come right now the focus is less about making something that means something and more about screaming and yelling or being a gimmick so that the spotlight turns for a second.
what does it mean? what's the point?
why is everyone so hungry for fame? to feel legit? to feel loved? to feel appreciated? these are things fame DOESNT give you. that's all internal. anyway i have to run. but... i have purple hair because i am currently "violent violet". i make up characters and look like them for a time.. i wear what i wear because i love it. i do what i do because i dont know what else to do.. i dont want to be a gimmick. i want to do something that matters. the whole world is in despair. they dont think anything they say means anything. so everyone turns to the internet and they'll say whatever it is they have to say to get that attention they are starving for.

what we put online is what we choose for the world to see.
so, the world can not possibly see everything else we do day to day. who really has time for that?
linda you do not need to explain yourself to those people who DO have the time to look at your pages and who DO have the time to write long comments bitching about the myriad of flaws they find in those who put themselves out there.
it can be hard to ignore the abuse (trust me, I know) but you have a great attitude and I can't wait for more new music!!!

Why should it matter to what degree of fame you have? I have told you before you do make a difference. When someone who is hurting hears your songs they get comfort that they are not the only one who is going through a heartbreak, aloneness, or betrayal. You have a lot more courage than most of us, you get on stage and bare your soul in front of complete strangers. In your Eating Disorder blogs and group you offer your knowledge and advice to help others realize they are not alone in that too. You offer hope that anyone can get through anything, especially with numbers. You show us that it is ok to be who we are in the moment. You have given me personally inspiration to try beyond my perceived limits. I have found that people attract other people because they have something in them that is unique. Sometimes challenging, but always desirable. You are Famous. You do make a difference! If you didn't you would know it and others would shy away. You have a Life spark that draws people like the moth to a flame. You have a defiance the doesn't let you give up. And probably most of all you really do care about other people. My life is better for everyone I meet. Even the bad people, the users and hurtful teach us something. We try to steer clear of them because they don't have what we desire or desire to be. A really cool person once told me of his journey to India years ago. He said the one constant that he found in each city ( the poorest and most distressed cities) was they all had a square or circle in the center of town. there was always a crowd in those areas during certain times of the day seated in a circle around a lone man. That man was the town Storyteller. He would tell his tales and completely mesmerize the crowd. Even though you couldn't understand the words sometimes the gestures and inflections got the story to you. The Storyteller was the most sought person in each town because he could without and cost except your time, take you anywhere but where you were and to anytime but the present. And everyone who listened was enriched, entertained and educated in exchange for their time. Linda you are the Storyteller in our village. You tell the stories with your writings, your songs, your fashion and your sweet voice.
